Our beloved lighthouse was built in 1881 and it needs a little TLC. The refurbished lantern room will be reinstalled soon, and the whole building needs a fresh coat of paint to bring it back to life.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We have a five year plan to revitalize the entire site.
We’ll start by moving the Marconi Hall beside the lighthouse, and make it the home for an interactive storytelling adventure about our Marconi station’s connection to the Titanic. This will be The Place to learn all about Morse Code. With more exhibit space, we’ll put our Titanic themed artifacts out for viewing.
The plan also calls for accessible washrooms, pathways, ramps, and doors, so everyone will be able to enjoy a visit. Winning the Next Great Save will help us kickstart the plan this year.

Notre phare bien-aimé a été construit en 1881, et a besoin d’un peu de soins attentionnés. La salle de la lanterne, remise à neuf, sera bientôt réinstallée, et l’ensemble du bâtiment a besoin d’une couche de peinture fraîche pour lui redonner vie.
Mais ce n’est que le sommet de l’iceberg. Nous disposons d’un plan sur cinq ans pour revitaliser l’intégralité du site.
Nous commencerons par déplacer la station Marconi à côté du phare pour en faire le lieu d’une aventure interactive et d’un récit autour du lien entre la station et le Titanic. Ce sera l’endroit où apprendre tout ce qu’il y a à savoir sur le code Morse. Grâce à l’espace d’exposition agrandi, nous pourrons également exposer nos objets uniques liés au Titanic.
Notre plan inclut également l’installation de toilettes, passages, rampes et portes accessibles, afin que la visite soit accessible à tous. Gagner Le Beau Sauvetage nous aidera à relancer notre plan cette année.
